CRISP's Standards

At CRISP we believe that efficient data management lies at the heart of any organised project or research community, and that data systems should be shaped by the information they store and the individuals that use them. We pride ourselves on providing great customer service and meeting our clients' expectations.

We aim to:
  • Focus on the needs of the customer
  • Work efficiently to meet agreed outcomes
  • Offer intelligible consultation
  • Monitor and improve our services, performance and customer care
  • Maintain a current understanding of the heritage sector, standards and legislation

At CRISP we work within the codes, standards and guidelines of the IFA and the ADS. We believe strongly in the promotion of open source software, using it wherever possible, and in the employment of open standards and open data where relevant. We are committed to adopting W3C standards for the web.

We endeavour to do our bit for the environment, using environmentally friendly office supplies and printing promotional materials on recycled or FSC certified paper. Our website is hosted on an eco-friendly server, and we maintain a green travel policy, using public transport wherever possible.

Our Health and Safety Policy is based on guidelines laid out by the Health and Safety Executive. It is constantly monitored and updated and can be supplied on request. We are fully covered for public liability and professional indemnity through Towergate, specialists in archaeology insurance.

The gathering, storage, use, release and disposal of personal information is regulated by the Data Protection Act 1998.
